The “Frankenstein Suite” for concert band, consists of three separate movements: Obsession, Creation and RAGE! High energy and easy ranges in all parts, this grade 2.5 to 3 piece has fun percussion and is accesible for small or large bands. Although the “Frankenstein Suite” is a 3-part work, each movement would work fine by itself on a concert presentation. Written in tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Mary Shelley novel.

Just Imagine is based on “Pure Imagination” from “Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory”. Written at a grade 3 to 3+ level, it is accsessible for most high school ensembles it offering a contemporary sound of this movie favorite. Full percussion includes opt. drumset. Trumpet range is a high C above the staff. Runs are divided up for woodwinds with plenty of spaces to breath. A trumpet solo at the beginning. A great opener for any concert.

Miles To Go is a tribute to the people who ride RAGBRI (Register’s annual Great Ride Across Iowa) every summer. Written with LIMITED ranges, easier passages, easier Keys (Concert Eb and F), and easier rhythmic patterns, A baritone. tenor sax solo in the middle. Written to be performed with minimal players and parts. Optional Bass Guitar and rehearsal keyboard included.

Children Of Apollo remembers the events of July 1969, when a fire was lit in the minds of so many children. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing, this grade 3-3+ piece for concert band, features interesting percussion parts, challenging, but accessible wind parts, as well as an optional sound effects trak. Trumpets go to C above the staff.

O' Christmas Tree is based on the original folk song O' Tannenbaum. Written at a grade 3 level, it is accessible for most high school ensembles it offers a contemporary twist on this Christmas classic. Fun percussion and no excessive ranges in the trumpets (F). Runs are divided up for woodwinds with plenty of spaces to breath. A slower middle section leads to an exciting conclussion. A great addition to your winter concert.

The Old Threshers March was written in 2001 for our band to play for the opening and closing of the Midwest Old Threshers Festival. The Mt Pleasant (Iowa) Panther Marching Band is the official band of the festival. Typically, a large steam tractor would accompany the band and blow the whistle on the last strain of the march. It may not be Sousa, but the crowds in the grand stands always enjoyed it. Steam whistle sound FX included.
