Nothing can be more frustrating than drill that is confusing for the students and staff.  With such limited time, the drill needs to make sense right from the beginning.  Writing drill for 40 years allowed me to understand the mistakes I was making and to continue to refine my skills.  Over time, I learned that marching band is about MOVEMENT more than form.  How we get from point A to B (the transition) is what really speaks to the audience through the music. I like to work closely with the people that I write for and create something that works seamlessly for your kids.
